M1 - Comparing Advertising Campaigns

Image
The share a coke campaign ran by major brand Coca cola was a huge success where the brand interacted with its customers in a non invasive way that didn't interfere with either the brand or the customer base at all. While being such a simple thing Share a Coke was a massive success and exponentially increased Coca Cola's sales the idea made every coke seem like a personalised gift as it had included the countries popular names to try and connect with as many people as possible. The share a coke advertising campaign was pushed through many forms of advertising, there was social media videos, customer interaction and radio. Share a coke didn't need much advertising as it was so popular but the Coca Cola brand advertised it through their own social media as well as paid ads on social media platforms and they also did radio and print adverts. The radio adverts normally featured snippets of popular songs and sound effects so it could ensure it stayed relevant and reach its target...

P4: Create the media components to be used in the planned campaign

Logo This is my finalized company logo, I stuck with the initial idea of the flower with a bright vibrant colour and added a faded tree in the background of the logo to add some depth to it.  I stuck with the flower and added the tree as the brand produces drinks that are a healthy alternative to the current market drinks and flowers and trees are natural showing the drink doesn't use any chemicals or things that may harm the body as well as linking to positive health as nature is often linked with healthy things and beauty. I used the bright blue colour as blue is a calming colour that can help sooth the mind and it also creates a friendly appearance to the potential customers, almost immediately earning their trust.  This is my beginning shapes and name, it is very basic but I liked the way it looked so I developed it further by adding effects. After seeing what effects work well with the design I settled for a bevel and emboss, Inner shadow, Outer Glow, Satin, Colour Overla...

P3: Create a pre-production plan for the media components in the planned advertising campaign

For my traditional media advert I plan to make a billboard, due to this I will keep the design simple and easy to read because the people who will probably see the billboard will predominately be people who are driving. The billboard will subvert norms as it will not feature a picture of the product, this has been chosen to keep the advert simple and non distracting to those on the road. Furthermore it will be very bland colours with the only vibrant part of the billboard being the company logo as it uses bright colours. Further subverting traditional norms the billboard wont specifically advertise the unique selling point of the product in the traditional way of showing it as we will advertise it through slogans which are in line with the healthy nature of the drink. I plan for the advertisement campaign to run within the summer so between the dates of June and August will be where the advertisement campaign will be pushed the most but afterwards the campaign will decrease in activity...

P2: Create a plan for a cross media advertising campaign in response to a client brief

In this document I will explain my plans and ideas for a cross channel marketing campaign.   I have been asked by the brief to create a healthy, fizzy alternate to drinks.   This will include me creating a logo, can design a media, tv and print advert,     I will need to create the company, advertisements and logos for the brief myself.   Mood Board (Flowers)       I have chosen to include a flower in my design as flowers can link to health and nature which is fitting as I will need to make a healthy drink.     This is my  initial idea, it has the shape of a flower to represent health and nature the text litho which is the brand name in a sans-serif font to show modernism.     I have decided to stick with the flower background but detail it a bit more by adding a tree in the background and greying it out to add some complexity to the design       Mood Board (Cans)     Advertisem...
